Welcome to Illumin8 Dance Academy, where passion, creativity and confidence come to life through dance.

I’m Leanne, and dance has been part of my life since I was three years old. From an early age I trained in a variety of styles, which led to some incredible opportunities – performing on television, in pantomimes, alongside the cast of the West End show 42nd Street, The Worst Witch, and on some of the biggest stages across Blackpool and the North West. I have also had the privilege of dancing with Billy Pearce, Barbara Windsor, on the Jimmy Cricket Show, and the Frank Carson Show.

After continuing my training at Stage School, I was fortunate to achieve my dream of becoming a professional dancer, travelling the world while performing on luxury cruise ships. On returning home, I performed a season at Blackpool Pleasure Beach before taking time to raise my family.

Four years ago, I reignited my love for Ballroom and Latin dance, competing across the region and earning multiple first-place awards. This journey deepened my knowledge, boosted my confidence, and reminded me just how much joy dance brings into my life.

Now, with over 30 years of experience, I’m proud to share my passion as a teacher. At Illumin8 Dance Academy, we offer a wide range of classes for all ages – from young children to adults – designed to develop technique, flexibility, performance, and creativity. More importantly, our classes are built around encouragement and inclusivity, where every dancer matters, no matter their ability.

For me, teaching is about more than steps and routines – it’s about helping each pupil grow in confidence, discover their potential, and truly shine.
